On the first floor of Split’s ACI Marina, overlooking the 1,700-year-old city, sits the Zrno Soli restaurant – a place known for its “million-dollar view,” which is equally enchanting day and night. Whether you’re coming for a casual summer lunch or an intimate winter dinner by the sea, Zrno Soli offers a backdrop that will stay in your memory.

The name of the restaurant carries a symbolism deeper than just the cuisine — salt is life, salt is the sea, salt is present in our daily lives, as well as in sacred texts. In Dalmatia, life without salt and the sea is almost unimaginable, and it is precisely this connection that has woven itself into the philosophy of the restaurant.

Our cuisine is based on the richness of local ingredients and the reinterpretation of traditional flavors through a contemporary culinary approach. In every dish, we strive to convey authenticity, creativity, and emotion.

From royal families and rock legends to wanderers and travelers, Zrno Soli has been, from the very beginning, a meeting place for remarkable individuals. Many of them return time and time again, becoming friends of the house — and that is our greatest recognition.

With their support, and our constant dedication to excellence, we proudly carry the Michelin Guide recommendation since 2018, and are regularly recognized by Gault & Millau. We don’t view these accolades as an end goal, but as a motivation — because our journey is aimed at an even greater achievement: our first Michelin star.

Ivo Vrdoljak, the owner of Zrno Soli, has followed a simple yet powerful idea from the very beginning — to host with soul. It wasn’t enough for him to open just another restaurant in Split; he wanted to create a place that lingers in the memory, where every guest feels the attention, the atmosphere, and that special something that makes them want to return.
Ivo’s hard work and dedication have been recognized beyond the borders of Croatia. Zrno Soli has carried the Michelin recommendation for several years in a row, and behind every accolade is the unseen, yet persistent effort of a man who knows that a lasting impression is made not only by the dish and the ambiance, but by a sincere smile, conversation, welcome, and farewell.

For Ivo, hospitality is not a job — it’s a calling.
And Zrno Soli is his reflection.

MARKO ĐURAŠEVIĆ

Born on the Mediterranean, shaped in Spain, Chef Marko Đurašević brings over 20 years of culinary experience from Madrid, Alicante, and Barcelona, where he collaborated with some of the best chefs of today.
His distinctive style combines Mediterranean warmth with Japanese precision, creating dishes that captivate with simplicity and depth of flavor. He is especially known for his desserts — his greatest passion — which not only conquer the palate, but also evoke emotions

In 2024, Gault&Millau named him Chef of the Year.

BRANIMIR PRNJAK

From Split, straight to the heart of the Zrno Soli kitchen — Branimir Prnjak has shown exceptional dedication, a quick learning curve, and a true passion for the culinary arts from day one. From an intern to head chef, his journey has been driven by passion, hard work, and great role models.
His talent has been recognized beyond borders — confirmed by his diploma from the prestigious Le Manoir under Chef Raymond Blanc, as well as his guest appearance in London at the end of 2023. Branimir continuously raises the bar for his own and his team’s expectations, coming to work with fresh ideas and infectious enthusiasm every day.

For him, cooking is more than just a job — it’s a calling he lives to the fullest.
